“We held this educational event for Realtors because we want to let them see first hand the techniques of quality construction that go into the homes we build, at Victoria Park and at every community we have. This was an excellent opportunity for real estate professionals to learn about some of the latest building materials and methods and take this knowledge and pass it onto their clients, so they can be better informed in their purchase decision,” said Ann Danner, president and owner of Residential Homes of America, Inc. (RHA). “RHA has a tradition of working closely with its customers to get them involved during the construction process, by having our buyers participate in periodic walk-throughs of their home during various stages of construction. This enables buyers to better understand what goes into the building of their home and also lets them participate in the quality control process.”
As a quality builder with a 20-year history of building beautiful single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, RHA takes numerous steps during the construction process that assure a high quality, long lasting home.
RHA incorporates higher design specifications into every home they build, with building techniques and specifications that are not always visible in the finished product, but buyers can be confident these extra steps have been taken to construct a solid home. By taking Realtors through on a hard-hat tour of homes in various stages of construction, they will be able to see firsthand these important steps that RHA takes to build a great home.
During the tour, real estate professionals also learned how a team of RHA professionals are assigned to manage all aspects of construction, starting with the first shovel of earth and continuing on through the final adjusting of a door handle on closing day. This degree of a personal commitment to excellence is another factor that sets RHA apart from other builders.
Another critical area that RHA excels in is the company’s ability to recruit and retain experienced project managers that make a significant difference in the quality of the homes and which adds to the strength behind the company’s award winning customer service. As an example, approximately half of the RHA construction team has been working for the company for more than 10 years and has helped the company achieve its Diamond Builder Status awarded by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty®, one of the nation’s leading home warranty companies. RHA is the only Diamond Builder in the state of Illinois.
Every RHA home is supplied with a 10-year warranty provided by 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty. The one-year workmanship, two-year systems and ten-year structural warranty is transferable if the home is sold in a ten-year period. After closing, each new homeowner receives a warranty booklet, which outlines the coverage on features of the home.
During the hard-hat tour, participants met many of RHA’s dedicated team members and project leaders and were able to ask them questions to get expert answers on any topic related to new home construction.
“Another aspect of our hard-hat tour that we wanted to educate Realtors on is the fact that we are a family run, local company that has been in business for over 20 years. We are not a multi-billion dollar national company with management that is far removed from the home buyer. We are a local business, with employees and executives that live, shop, participate in and support the same communities as the Realtors do. We are accessible, available and able to work closely with them to help their buyers make the best possible purchase decision,” Danner said.
At Victoria Park, both ranch and two-story townhomes are offered, sized from 1,768 to 2,172 square feet. The homes feature two bedrooms, den, up to 2-1/2 baths, full basements and attached two-car garages.
Every home includes a luxury master suite with walk-in closet and private bath, 9’ first floor ceilings, central air conditioning and hardwood or ceramic tile in the kitchen, entry foyer and powder room.
Beautifully laid out, the Victoria Park neighborhood has a park like atmosphere and a fully equipped on-site clubhouse that make the active adult lifestyle complete. As a true maintenance-free community, residents have lawn mowing and snow shoveling taken care of by the monthly association fee.
The clubhouse has a furnished clubroom with fireplace, a fully appointed kitchen and a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art exercise equipment. Realtors participating in the event are encouraged to also tour the clubhouse.
“By giving Realtors more knowledge about how our homes are built and the steps we take with customer service and satisfaction, they will be better prepared to provide
their clients with answers based on firsthand experience with RHA. We want to have a positive relationship with real estate professionals and by offering an educational tour like the one at Victoria Park, we feel we are providing valuable information that can be used by them on a daily basis,” said Danner.
Residential Homes of America, Inc. has been recognized for the highest standards of quality and integrity with the Diamond Builder Designation from the Home Buyers Warranty Corporation for its superior workmanship and spotless claims record. RHA
