Central Lake County location in walking distance to commuter train boosts popularity of Village Station in Grayslake

GRAYSLAKE, IL – June 19, 2006 – Being developed by Residential Homes of America, Inc. (RHA), Village Station has been so popular with buyers that a second phase of 72 townhomes is now being offered for sale. Introductory pricing ranges from $204,990 to $253,990 for homes that include finished lower levels and two-car attached garages. First deliveries are scheduled for fall of 2006.

“Buyers who consider shorter commutes an important advantage will be impressed with the location of Village Station,” said Ann Danner, president of RHA.

“Residents are within walking or bicycling distance of the Metra commuter train station and close to Lake County job centers. In addition, shopping and other village services are nearby, and recreation is just as convenient, with the Chain O’ Lakes resort region a short distance away. Village Station combines a scenic suburban location with conveniences that compare favorably with urbanized settings.”

Complementing the desirable community location is a land plan that emphasizes the tranquil country setting. The focal point of the neighborhood is a two-acre park that blends open green space with a charming gazebo. Residents can enjoy the walking path that links with a regional trail, and professionally designed landscaping enhances the natural beauty.

“Many buyers today prefer the townhome lifestyle because they want freedom from exterior maintenance, and Village Station offers a carefree atmosphere without sacrificing luxury or privacy,” Danner said. “The rowhouse-inspired townhomes have a sophisticated appeal, and the designs cater to buyers’ desire for flexible space that can be adapted to a variety of uses.”

Four attractive townhomes range in size from 1,471 to 1,944 square feet, with two bedrooms; two bedrooms and a loft; 2 ½ baths; finished lower levels with bonus rooms; and two-car attached garages. “We have floor plans that feature dual master bedrooms and half of our plans easily convert to a third bedroom layout, so these homes can easily accommodate differing buyer preferences,” Danner said. “The homes include many deluxe features in the price so they are an outstanding value with great appreciation potential. In addition, buyers who obtain mortgages through our preferred lender will receive their choice of a free washer, dryer and refrigerator, or a rate lock program with RHA paying the upfront fees.”One of the most popular plans at Village Station is the 1,808-square-foot Chicago, a spacious design that includes two bedrooms and a loft or optional third bedroom, 2 1/2 baths; finished bonus room on the lower level and two-car attached garage.

An inviting sense of arrival is presented by the great room which may be accented with a look-through fireplace and media center plus a bay window Adjacent to the great room is the formal dining room that provides a delightful gathering spot for formal or casual dining.

The large kitchen features a convenient serving peninsula and breakfast bar that separates the kitchen from a light and airy breakfast nook with sliding glass doors to the deck. A powder room and laundry room are located on this level.

Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a generous walk-in closet and private bath with double-bowl vanity. The spacious second bedroom and loft are served by a hall bath. The lower level includes a large bonus room, ideal for a media room, home office or work-out space.

Quality features included in the price of the townhomes are nine-foot ceilings on the main floor; colonist trim; finished lower levels; brick and vinyl exteriors; decks; central air conditioning; pre-wiring for cable and phones; smoke detectors and storage space under the stairs in the lower level.

Buyers may personalize the homes with natural gas fireplaces, built-in entertainment centers, bay windows, electric garage door openers, deluxe front elevations, their choice of cabinets and flooring, ceiling fan outlets, mirrored closet doors, security systems, whirlpool tubs, refrigerators, microwave ovens, washers and dryers, self-cleaning ranges, oak stain packages and vaulted ceilings.
