ALLEGHANY TRAIL AT VILLAGE STATION CONTINUES TO ATTRACT BUYERS WITH COMBINATION OF GREAT PRICES, WALK-TO-TOWN CONVENIENCE AND MAINTENANCE-FREE LIFESTYLE IN GRAYSLAKE

Grayslake, IL - (May 17, 2007) - Finding a luxury townhome that has its own expression of style and convenience isn’t an easy task, especially when buyers want to remain within their budget.  At Alleghany Trail at Village Station, Residential Homes of America’s (RHA) maintenance-free townhome community in north suburban Grayslake, buyers have been drawn to this neighborhood because it features attractive homes, has a great location and has an affordability factor that isn’t a budget buster.  Alleghany Trail has been a busy place as of late, as RHA continues to sell the newest phase at the community consisting of 72 courtyard style townhomes, attractively priced from the low $200s.  Decorated models are open for tours daily.

“In today’s marketplace, an affordable price and a luxury townhome don’t always go hand-in-hand, but at Alleghany Trail, we have strived to retain a price point that is achievable for the vast majority of townhome buyers, while also giving them a fully featured community in a great location.  This philosophy has paid off, with our newest phase attracting lots of attention from buyers who have not expected to find this level of quality and luxury in Grayslake, but have been very pleased once they have stopped by and taken a tour,” said Ann Danner, president and owner of Residential Homes of America, Inc. (RHA).

There are four exciting floor plans at Alleghany Trail, each a courtyard style townhome design ranging from 1,471 to 1,944 square feet.  The homes feature brick fronts and include two or three bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, lofts, finished lower levels with bonus rooms, private balconies or decks and attached rear-load two-car garages.

Two of the plans are offered as end-unit designs, with one plan having two separate master suites – a new favorite feature in the market.  Prices start in the low $200s, with each home on display as a beautifully decorated and fully furnished model.

The affordability of the Alleghany Trail townhomes doesn’t mean they scrimp on features.  Buyers are amazed and very pleased to discover that every home includes a luxury master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and a private full bath, 9’ first floor ceilings, white painted colonist doors and trim, a spacious eat-in kitchen with pantry (per plan), first or second floor full size laundry room, central air conditioning and a covered front porch.

Buyers not only save money by purchasing a home that gives them a chance to build equity in an established and vibrant northern suburb, living at Alleghany Trail also means saving money by being able to take the train to work instead of driving.  The community is an easy walk to the Lake Street Metra station.  Residents can also take care of lots of their everyday errands by patronizing the friendly merchants in historic downtown Grayslake, which is also within walking distance.  The downtown area is known as The Village Center, with a wide variety of shops, stores and dining.

“When we designed Alleghany Trail, we knew we wanted to create a unique and refreshing townhome neighborhood that frees its residents from outdoor landscape maintenance chores and creates a beautiful neighborhood to come home to and enjoy.  The ambiance here includes a pond, walking trails plus a two-acre neighborhood park with gazebo.  As an added bonus, 45-acres of park district property is adjacent to Alleghany Trail and has been proposed to include sports fields and other attractions,” Danner said.

To compliment the relaxed landscape at Alleghany Trail, the courtyard style of the homes means each resident overlooks an expanse of green space from the front of their home, uncluttered by cars or garages.  The rear-load design of the garages gives the homes and the entire neighborhood a clean and pleasant look.

Alleghany Trail is also close to some great recreational facilities, including the municipally owned Esper A. Petersen Foundation Family Aquatic Center and the Daniel Barry Memorial Skate Park.  Residents can also enjoy the magnificent 40-acre Central Park, which has a large playground area, several baseball diamonds, competition football and soccer fields plus walking trails and wooded preserves.

Since the townhomes at Alleghany Trail are so attractively priced and fully featured, buyers may not feel the need to select options, but since they are saving so much right from the start, they can choose from an incredible selection of RHA’s exclusive ‘Good Ideas’ options and know they are still saving money in the long run.  The Good Ideas options at Alleghany Trail include gas fireplaces, built-in entertainment centers, deluxe trim packages, Ultra master baths and much more.  Buyers can get a complete listing of all Good Ideas that are available at the community from the sales center.

“A carefree lifestyle free of outdoor lawn maintenance and snow shoveling, a park like setting with a gazebo and incredible walk-to-town and train convenience is what Alleghany Trail is all about.  With our release of the last four buildings in our last phase, I suggest buyers stop by and take advantage of the opportunity to live in this unique and beautiful community while they still have a chance to do so,” said Danner.
