THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER WERE CELEBRATED

Grayslake, IL - (September 18, 2007) - It was a day to be remembered on August 25th, as golden retrievers, pugs, bulldogs, labs and their best friends gathered at Alleghany Trail at Village Station, a Residential Homes of America, Inc. (RHA) townhome community in Grayslake, for a resident party for homeowners and their pets.  RHA, along with Bank of America and Coldwell Banker, sponsored this free community-wide Dog Days party for all Village Station residents, prospective buyers and their furry friends of the four-legged variety.  The party was a huge success, with a good time had by all with food, entertainment, games and lots of canine capers.  Attended by over half the homeowners at Village Station, along with 33 dogs, everyone enjoyed getting to know their canine neighbors.  And the dogs had fun, too, with free Frisbees, tennis balls and special treats to enjoy.  RHA has approximately 21 homes left to sell in the second phase of 72 luxury courtyard style townhomes at Alleghany Trail at Village Station,

which are priced from the low $200s.  The community emphasizes maintenance-free townhomes with a single-family lifestyle.  Decorated models are open for tours daily.

Alleghany Trail at Village Station has been a popular destination because it offers its residents an amazing combination of amenities with a maintenance-free lifestyle.  The community features walk-to-train convenience as a transit-oriented development near downtown Grayslake, a beautifully landscaped neighborhood setting with a centrally located park and beautiful courtyard style townhomes of exceptional quality and value.

“Prospective buyers really had a great time at our Dog Days party on August 25th, mingling with the residents and experiencing firsthand how friendly and accommodating this community is,” said Ann Danner, president and owner of Residential Homes of America, Inc.  “There are lots of pet owners in this neighborhood who see each other on a regular basis when they walk their dogs at the park.  The sense of community at Village Station is wonderful and we wanted to do something to celebrate this spirit and to let residents who may not have met each other yet a chance to get to know their neighbors.  It was a great time.”

RHA offers four different floor plans at Village Station, ranging in size from 1,471 to 1,944 square feet.  Designed as courtyard style homes with an upscale look, the plans include two to three bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, lofts, finished bonus rooms, private balconies or decks and attached rear-loading two-car garages.

Two of the townhome plans are available as desirable end-unit homes, with one home offering the flexibility of two separate master suites.  Prices start in the low $200s, with each floor plan displayed as a beautifully decorated and fully furnished model.

It’s no wonder that the two-acre on-site Village Station Park is such a popular place.  This beautiful green space features walking trails, a pond and a gazebo.  There are

also 45-acres of park district property next to the community, which has been planned to include sports fields and other amenities.  The layout and feel of the Village Station neighborhood is unlike that of most townhome developments, with its pet-friendly nature and equally friendly residents.

“An event like the Dog Days party we held at Alleghany Trail at Village Station is a nice way for residents and prospective buyers alike to kick back, enjoy some food, listen to some music, meet other homeowners and take a tour of the models.  Attending a party like this is really a perfect way to try on a community for size and have some fun doing it,” Danner said.

Residential Homes of America, Inc. has been recognized for the highest standards of quality and integrity with the Diamond Builder Designation from the Home Buyers Warranty Corporation for its superior workmanship and spotless claims record.  RHA

is the only homebuilder in Illinois to receive the coveted award which is a one-time only, life-time award given only to those builders who have demonstrated at least a five-year track record of offering the highest standards of construction, design and customer service in their markets based on strict criteria.
